Propaganda. The CDC admitted nothing. Like all scientists, the scientists at the CDC provide information based upon the latest data they have. When something changes, and the data changes, the scientists at the CDC provide updated information, as all scientists do. If you are uncomfortable with change, stick to reading the **** bible or other **** fables that never change.
